The traditional aluminium mould specially shaped to make the famous Sicilian Cassata cake.
Sicilian cassata is a delicious, melt in the mouth cake made up of layers of soaked sponge, filled with sweet ricotta, chocolate chips and candied fruit. The cake has a layer of green marzipan around its sloping sides, white icing on the top and is finally decorated with sliced candied fruit and adorned with piped icing.
This tin is perfect for making Sicilian cassata. The special indented middle holds the sponge cake and marzipan around the sides and stops it slipping.
